Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern your use of the Habel Doors website and the supply of our commercial door, automation and shutter services.
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Habel Doors website and set out the basis on which Habel Doors Ltd ("we", "us", "our") supplies its services to you. By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our website or services.
2. Definitions
"Services" means the commercial door, automatic door, steel door, roller shutter, glass boarding, maintenance and related works supplied by us. "Customer", "you" and "your" refer to the individual or business engaging our Services. "Quotation" means a written estimate of price provided by us for the Services.
3. Quotations and Pricing
- All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are based on the information available at the time and on the assumption that the site is accessible and ready for work to commence.
- If site conditions, specifications or the scope of work change, we reserve the right to revise the quotation. Any additional works will be agreed with you before proceeding wherever practicable.
- Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate.
4. Orders and Acceptance
A contract is formed when you accept our quotation in writing (including by email) or instruct us to begin work. We may require a deposit before ordering materials or scheduling works. Bespoke or specially ordered items may be non-refundable once ordered.
5. Carrying Out the Work
- We will carry out the Services with reasonable care and skill, using suitably competent personnel.
- You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the site, along with any information, permissions or facilities we reasonably require to complete the work.
- Estimated start and completion dates are given in good faith but are not guaranteed and may be affected by factors beyond our control, including material availability and weather.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by the unavailability of access, incorrect information provided by you, or events outside our reasonable control.
6. Payment Terms
- Payment is due as set out on our invoice or quotation. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
- We may require staged payments or a deposit for larger projects.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Goods supplied remain our property until paid for in full.
7. Variations and Additional Works
Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be agreed between both parties. Additional works requested during a job, or works arising from unforeseen site conditions, may be subject to additional charges, which we will communicate to you before proceeding wherever possible.
8. Warranties and Guarantees
We provide a workmanship guarantee on installation work as specified at the time of order. Manufactured products and components are covered by the relevant manufacturer's warranty. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, normal wear and tear, or failure to maintain equipment as recommended.
9. Maintenance and Servicing
Automatic doors, shutters and powered equipment require regular maintenance to remain safe and compliant. Where you do not enter into a maintenance agreement with us, you are responsible for ensuring equipment is serviced in line with manufacturer recommendations and applicable safety regulations. We accept no liability for faults or incidents arising from a lack of proper maintenance.
10. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. We may charge for any materials already ordered, work already carried out and reasonable costs incurred up to the point of cancellation. Cancellation of bespoke or specially ordered items may not be possible once they have been ordered or manufactured.
11. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
- Subject to the above, our total liability arising from any contract shall not exceed the total price paid for the Services under that contract.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of revenue.

15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you instruct us will apply to that contract. The latest version will always be available on this page.
